 LBI Region and Official LBI Chowderfest fan pages are two places where current print, online ads , video and radio clips are posted to be shared with thousands of Long Beach Island residents, visitors and potential guests. Traditionally a large part of what the Destination Marketing Organization does within the chamber is working with press to tell the story daily, as well as ad campaigns and travel shows like the Washington DC Travel and Adventure show in March. From press conferences at NY Times Travel Show at the Jacob Javitz Center in January, to arranging the location for "A Heart to Heart Conversation"the largest effort for Jersey Shore Media outreach post Sandy at the Stateroom in Ship Bottom, to working with businesses directly to create marketing opportunities that have made  LBI Region distinctive from other shore destinations for radio and earned media discussions throughout the tri state area

Using winter marketing  and pre season initiatives, such as Chocolate Week, which had provided leverage for the past five years  pulling in both media coverage, record February attendance levels and a track-able ad campaign that runs in Philadelphia Magazine, New Jersey Monthly, Local Living PA and radio ads that ran in conjunction with the PHILLIES Phantasy Camp allows the Chamber/DMO to gauge the upcoming season. A prepared spring colorful ad campaign online, which includes the Philadelphia Flower Show Website has also been running to compliment the chamber involvement with the 2013 show. Visitors can find the Southern Ocean County Chamber ads promoting the Wedding Road Show, inviting potential brides and their entourages directly to the region April 21 to tour island wide wedding open houses, also successfully introduces the area to new vacationers. In addition to print and ad campaigns in New Jersey Bride, For Your Bride, Central and South Jersey Celebration Guides, Philadelphia Magazine Event Planner and North Jersey Newspapers, they have partnered with industry media sponsors such as Demetrius Bridal who launched an aggressive online campaign as well as provides LBI Wedding Road Show advertising at  Macy's Bridal Salons in New York and North Jersey, Celebration Guide, Greater Media Radio, NJ Wedding.com, The Knot and Jersey Shore Wedding Association.

Look for Southern Ocean  ad and LBI Region DMO presence in the NJ Travel Guide, the 2013 Bucks County Local Living Calendar and the 2013-14 NJ Top Ten Beaches Calendar, and on radio at the Phillies Spring training with special promotion during the Phillies and NY Yankees competition game. The organization also represents the region on a statewide tourism front as part of the Ocean County Tourism Advisory Board, on the planning committee for the 2013 NJ Conference on Tourism which is held in Atlantic City the March 20-22, the Executive Board of the New Jersey Travel Industry Association and as statewide chair of the New Jersey Destination Marketing Organizations. Next month the chamber goes to print with 30000 LBI Region Visitor Guides that blanket official state welcome  centers and fulfill requests via mail throughout the year. 

With new ad campaigns being launched monthly to drive visitor and positive attention, look for focused ads for May 18 and 19 Weekend for Soar into  Summer Weekend featuring beach opening, Chamber coordinated Pour into Summer Wine Festival in Beach Haven and  Davids Dream and Believe Classic Car and Motorcycle Cruise. promoted in key markets. Long time chamber partnered events like Jersey Shore Fine Arts and Lighthouse Film Festival are part of ads promoting June Art & Leisure month. In addition the 2013 marketing plan that has been in place, the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce members have begun a Recovery Advertising team, which has brought the region's creative minds together in response to lack of emergency marketing plan to represent the area in time of crisis and will work toward a public and private partnership  finding a long term solution for this need.
