Time to savor all that fall has to offer with beautiful weather, picture perfect setting, fabulous food and an excuse to spend some time at your favorite getaway.  Now that we have wrapped up the summer season, we are looking forward to crisp fall days, clear nights and more events for all to enjoy.

23 years of Chowderfest Success

Congratulations to our 2011 Chowderfest Winners and thank you to all who supported this event, from the 400 plus volunteers including the US Marines, vendors, competing restuarants, and the thousands of Chowderheads who attended to make our weekend complete:

What's Happening at Surflight? Thanks for asking....

Kicking off their full fall schedlue with An Evening with Lucille Ball's  "Thank you for Asking",  running through mid October, Surflight continues to bring talent and excitement with La Traviata and Forever Pland Plaid Tidings Holiday performances.

Dinner and show packages are also available,  so make it a night

57 years and still fishing

LBI's Fishing Tradition the 57th Annual LBI Surf Fishing Classic 2011 running October 8 through December 4 for Striped Bass and Bluefish. Not familar with the sport or would like a few pointers? Saturday October * join us for the Free Super Surf Casting Seminar from 9am to 1pm beginning at the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce on 9th Street in Ship Bottom for dorr prizes, coffee and bagels, then head over to Fire Co No 1 Station on 21rst St and Central Ave where members of Team Mullet will share knowledge of surf fishing equipment, casting, bait and driving a 4x4 on the beach. Then head out to 9th Street Shp Bottom Beach for hands on instruction. Pre Registration is required so contact Chamber at 609 494 7211x100. Gear up for a season of your best fishing yet!
