BeachWheels Program
Township of Long Beach Beachwheels Program "Providing beach access to everyone"
Beachwheels is a program started by the Long Beach Township Beach Patrol in 1992. The program provides wheelchairs to people with disabilities who are visitng or living in the Township of Long Beach. The Beachwheels (or Surf Chairs) are made from lightweight PVC tubing and have oversized wheels so that they can handle difficult terrain such as the beach.
